UNICEF Team Meets Social Welfare Minister and Secretary to Strengthen Department Engagement

Karachi: A team from UNICEF met with Mir Tariq Ali Talpur, Minister for Social Welfare, Government of Sindh, and Mr. Munawar Ali Mithani, Secretary, Social Welfare Department (SWD), as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen engagement and coordination with the Department.

During the meeting, the UNICEF team discussed areas of mutual interest and opportunities to enhance coordination and collaboration in support of social welfare and child protection initiatives in Sindh.

The engagement provided an opportunity to discuss ongoing areas of collaboration and explore avenues for further strengthening institutional coordination between UNICEF and the Social Welfare Department.

The Minister and Secretary emphasized the importance of continued engagement and coordinated efforts with development partners to support effective social welfare initiatives and strengthen services for vulnerable communities across Sindh.
