Administration of the following laws and the rules framed there-under:

The registration, cancellation, restoration, monitoring, and supervision of NGOs under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration & Control) Ordinance, 1961.

Matters related to the Sindh Charities Registration & Regulation Act, 2019.

Preparation & implementation of grant-in-aid policy to government entities and non-governmental organizations engaged in various social services / fields etc.

Coordination of social welfare programs with other Nation building departments, donor agencies and non-profit organizations at Provincial, district, and local level. Matters related to Sindh Social Welfare Council.

Preparation & execution of development schemes of Social Welfare Department through Annual Development Programme (ADP), Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode or international financing.

Capacity building of employees of Social Welfare Department and various Social Welfare Organizations i.e. NGOs and CBOs.

Matters related to Medical Social Services at tertiary care hospitals.

Monitoring & supervision of services provided to children, drug addicts, senior citizens and transgender.

Service matter, except those entrusted to the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department.
