Karachi, 4 September 2026: Mr. Munawar Ali Mithani, Secretary, Social Welfare Department (SWD), Government of Sindh, visited the Headquarters of the Sindh Senior Citizen Council on 4 September 2026.

During the visit, Mr. Munawar Ali Mithani received a detailed official briefing on the operational framework, functions, and ongoing activities of the Sindh Senior Citizen Council. The briefing highlighted the Council’s role in promoting the welfare, rights, and well-being of senior citizens across Sindh.

The Secretary reviewed the Council’s operational arrangements and emphasized the importance of effective coordination and efficient service delivery for senior citizens.

The visit provided an opportunity to review the Council’s ongoing work and further strengthen institutional mechanisms for the provision of support and welfare services to senior citizens throughout the province.
