Karachi, October 01, 2026: Mr. Munawar Ali Mithani, Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Government of Sindh, visited Bint-e-Fatima Old Age Home , located at DHA Phase VIII, Karachi, on October 01, 2026, to mark and celebrate the International Day of Older Persons .

During the visit, the Secretary interacted with the elderly residents of the home and expressed his appreciation for the care, support, and services being provided to senior citizens. He emphasized the importance of respecting, protecting, and promoting the dignity and well-being of older persons in society.

Mr. Munawar Ali Mithani also conveyed his best wishes to the elderly residents on the occasion and highlighted the commitment of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Sindh, towards ensuring improved welfare, care, and social protection for senior citizens.

The visit reflected the Department’s continued efforts to promote the rights, dignity, and inclusion of older persons and to encourage a caring and supportive environment for senior citizens.
