Secretary Social Welfare Chairs Meeting on Proposed Amendments to Legal Framework

Karachi, October 01, 2026: Mr. Munawar Ali Mithani, Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Government of Sindh, chaired a meeting today to discuss the proposed amendments to the legal framework of the Social Welfare Department.

During the meeting, the existing legal framework, relevant laws, rules and regulations pertaining to social welfare were reviewed in detail. The participants discussed proposed amendments aimed at strengthening the legal and institutional framework of the Department and improving the effectiveness of social welfare services across Sindh.

Mr. Munawar Ali Mithani emphasized the importance of reviewing and updating the existing legal provisions in accordance with contemporary social welfare requirements. He directed the concerned officers to examine the proposed amendments thoroughly and ensure that all relevant aspects are incorporated before further processing.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to further strengthen the legal framework of the Social Welfare Department for the effective implementation of social welfare policies and programs in the province.
