Mr. Munawar Ali Mithani, Social Welfare Department Chairs Meeting with SCPA and UNICEF Representatives

Karachi, 17 September 2026: Mr. Munawar Ali Mithani, Secretary, Social Welfare Department (SWD), Government of Sindh, chaired a meeting with the team of the Sindh Child Protection Authority (SCPA) and a representative of UNICEF to review pending tasks and discuss the way forward for ongoing child protection initiatives.

During the meeting, the SCPA team briefed the Secretary on the status of pending tasks, ongoing activities, and matters requiring further attention. The UNICEF representative also participated in the discussions and shared relevant inputs regarding areas of coordination and support.

Mr. Munawar Ali Mithani reviewed the matters presented during the meeting and discussed the necessary steps to address outstanding tasks and improve coordination among the concerned stakeholders.

The meeting concluded with discussions on the way forward and the importance of timely follow-up and coordinated efforts to advance child protection services and related initiatives in Sindh.
