Deputy Secretary SWD Leads Inspection Visit to Sunshine Rehabilitation Centre

Karachi, 8th October 2026: Mr. Nooruddin Hingorjo, Deputy Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Government of Sindh, along with the PM&IU Drug Control & Rehabilitation Team and Deputy Director (East), Social Welfare Department, conducted a comprehensive inspection visit to the Sunshine Rehabilitation Centre.

During the visit, the team thoroughly reviewed the centre’s screening and assessment procedures, as well as the treatment and rehabilitation services being provided to individuals undergoing recovery. The inspection focused particularly on the quality of care, service delivery, treatment protocols, rehabilitation practices, patient welfare, and the overall operational functioning of the centre.

The visiting team also assessed the existing facilities and service arrangements, with emphasis on ensuring that effective, structured, and patient-centre treatment and rehabilitation services are being provided in line with the objectives and standards of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Sindh.
